Although Piglet is one of A.A. Milne's original
characters from his Winnie the Pooh books, he first made
his screen debut with Disney in 1968 in "Winnie the Pooh
and the Blustery Day". Piglet is Pooh's very best
friend besides Christopher Robin, of course.
Being a piglet, he considers himself to be a very small
animal. Piglet is very skittish and soft-spoken.
And although Piglet is very nervous and afraid of the
unknown, he has a very big heart for being so small.
Piglet has always been voiced by Mr. John Fiedler since
his first appearance in Disney films in 1968.
Sadly, Mr. Fiedler passed away on June 25, 2005, the day
after Tigger's Paul Winchell passed away. It's
believed that Jim Cummings, who now voices Pooh and
Tigger, will take on Piglet's role, as well.
